Ambassador of the European Union to Ukraine

May 24, 2013, a meeting of the project participants with the Ambassador of the European Union to Ukraine Jan TOMBINSKI and accompanying persons: Zoltan SZALAI, Head of Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation in Ukraine, members of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Irina STADNIYCHUK and Ludmila SCHERBANYUK.

The meeting was opened Svitlana BESPALOVA, Vice-Rector President for Research, the Scientific Head of the Project, and then Mykola SHESTAVIN, Senior Research, Project Coordinator, gave a presentation on the results of the project, which is shown below:

The meeting took place in the created by the project Interactive Scientific and Methodological Center for Low-Carbon Open Innovations Relay to Ukraine (LCOIR Center), which ensures the participation of virtual partners (online) in the events taking place in it.

During the meeting was broadcast live via the web-site of the project, which saw the virtual project participants from Ukraine (Donetsk, Makiyivka, Lugansk, Kharkov and Kiev), as well as from France (Orleans) and Norway (Oslo).

In discussing the results of the project involved several virtual meeting participants, including Alexei MIKHAILOV, manager of the Directorate for the generation of electricity Donbass Fuel-Energy Company, which emphasized the interest of DTEK in the results of the project and pointed to the introduction of energy companies to carbon capture and storage .

Then Jan TOMBINSKI asked a few questions and get answers from implementers expressed the need to create an enabling environment in Ukraine for the introduction of technology to carbon capture and storage.
